Steel Trader Specialist

Location: Dubai, UAEEmplyment Type: Full-timeWe are seeking a dynamic and results-driven steel trader with experience in hot rolled coil (HRC). He/she must have be fluent in Japanese or can converse in Japanese. The ideal candidate will play a key role in expanding our trading operations, managing supplier and customer relationships in Africa.Responsibilities:Identify and develop new business opportunities in the African steel market.Monitor pricing trends, supply-demand dynamics, and competitor activity in the African markets.Negotiate commercial terms, manage contracts, coordinate logistics, and ensure timely delivery.Oversee trade documentation, customs requirements, and regulatory compliance for cross-border transactions.Build and maintain relationships with customers, suppliers and industry organizations.Prepare regular reports on marketing activities, research findings, and performance metrics.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in business, International Trade, Engineering, or related field.Minimum of 1 year of experience related to steel trading especially hot rolled coil in Africa.Fluency in Japanese; business-level English required.Familiarity with trading and industry standards in the GCC (particularly UAE) and international standards.Willingness to travel frequently in Africa or different countries when needed.Familiarity with international trade documentation and Incoterms. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey marketing messages and research findings.Strong negotiation and communication skills across multicultural environments.
