If you have experience in QC of radiography and are committed to providing high-quality patient care, this is the opportunity for you!Job DescriptionTo work as part of a team that undertakes diagnostic radiographic procedures, keeping with department standards, procedures, and protocols.
Supervise and provide training and development of radiographers and radiography aides. Role SpecificsPerform the QC on the x-ray images captured by the technician before final uploading to PACS. Knowledge on the adjusting of the diagnostic equipment to deliver accurate amount of radiation to patients. Ability to Operate complex X-ray machines. Participate in training new members of staff in equipment and department protocols. Maintain good hygiene of equipment and work areasAllocate workload to facilitate efficient workflowTo maintain a high standard of images and to evaluate the quality of images produced.
Ensure all imaging equipment is maintained and serviced regularly to ensure optimal performance and accuracy. Maintain accurate patient records to reflect the service provided and meet professional standards. To report any equipment faultsTo ensure that all procedures carried out are in accordance with the departmental policies and procedures. To Ensure all the Images are uploaded in PACS every day. Be involved in departmental audit and quality assurance. Ensuring compliance with Data Protection Act and patient confidentialityFollow the protocol abide by the NABH policy.
Experience And Education RequirementsMinimum of 3 years post qualification experience in BMRT/DMRT/relevant course passed from recognized universityDemonstrate experience of working with a team of radiographersHas experience in leading radiography and imaging support assistantsHands-on experience with Diagnostic MachinesAble to interpret imaging (CT, MRI and X-ray)Basic knowledge of computerSkillsExcellent interpersonal and communication skills to explain procedures to patients. Good observation skills and attention to detail. Self-motivated and the ability to work under pressureOrganisation and decision-making skillsStrong leadership and management skills. Ability to keep up to date with new developments in radiography technology and techniques.
