StepStone Private Debt is looking for a detailed-oriented individual who will directly support the Private Debt Business Development and marketing activities.
The BD Intern will interact and collaborate with senior professionals across various teams including research and investment, legal and compliance, monitoring and reporting, sales, among others, to present private debt’s service offerings and investment products to institutional investors and help fulfill client requests. The person should have a solid understanding of investments and private markets, strong project management and writing skills. Understanding of business development and capital raising processes is also desired. Essential Job Functions:
Directly support Private Debt’s Business Development function in collaboration with BD/Sales team and senior PD professionals to ensure consistent engagement with existing clients and identified prospectsCoordinate creation and updating of marketing materials (investor pitchbooks and proposals, introductory materials, PPMs, DDQs, etc.
)Maintain marketing information up to date, case studies and other key materials for use by PDManage Salesforce entry and follow up for senior team membersAssist in maintaining central database of data and responses to ensure content is kept up to date, accurate and consistent with the firm’s overall messageAssist with various other ad hoc projects and analyses for the teamEducation/Work Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree required, concentration in finance, business administration, economics, or equivalent preferredStrong written and verbal communication skills in English and German is a mustMust be able to commit at least 6 monthsHighly motivated individual with demonstrated initiative, independence and adaptabilityProficiency in Excel, Powerpoint, Word and other Microsoft office programsStrong ability to multi-task and prioritize workflow in fast-paced, detail-oriented environmentFollow up skills and acute attention to accuracy and detail are essentialAt StepStone, we believe that our people are our most important asset and crucial to our success.
