Financial AccountantJoin a high-performing finance team driving business impactWe’re seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Financial Accountant for an initial temporary assignment to support end-to-end financial operations for our client based in Sydney CBD. You’ll play a key role in month-end close, financial reporting, tax compliance, and technical accounting, while supporting continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver accurate and timely month-end close, journals, and reconciliationsPrepare monthly and annual financial statements in line with AASB standardsSupport tax compliance (IAS, BAS, FBT, income tax) across the groupMaintain ledger accuracy through thorough reconciliationsOversee CAPEX tracking, fixed asset capitalisation, and reportingContribute to cashflow management and treasury reportingPartner in internal/external audits, risk controls, and complianceDrive process improvement, automation, and data integrityAdminister key finance systems (MS Dynamics, Power BI, Excel)Collaborate with and mentor junior team members, contributing to a positive team cultureAbout YouCA/CPA qualified with strong experience in financial or management accountingExcellent knowledge of accounting standards (AASB, IFRS)Strong analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skillsProficient in Excel and reporting platforms (e.
