Sokoni Africa Limited is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Stock Controller preferably with supermarket experience to become a key part of our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing our inventory effectively, ensuring that stock levels are optimized to meet operational needs while minimizing excess and waste. This role is essential for maintaining the accuracy of our stock records and ensuring smooth logistics operations.
Key ResponsibilitiesOversee inventory management processes to maintain optimal stock levelsConduct regular stock audits and reconcile any discrepanciesCoordinate with suppliers and vendors for timely restocking of inventoryImplement efficient stock control systems to enhance operational efficiencyPrepare detailed inventory reports for management reviewTrain and mentor staff on stock control procedures and best practicesCollaborate with other departments to forecast inventory needsEnsure compliance with safety regulations and internal policiesRequirementsMinimum of a high school diploma; degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferredProven experience as a Stock Controller or similar role, preferably in a retail or supermarket environmentStrong knowledge of inventory management software and ExcelExcellent numerical and analytical skillsProficient in data analysis and reportingAttention to detail and strong organizational abilitiesEffective communication and teamwork skillsA proactive approach to problem-solving and inventory challenges
