Responsible to ensure that rules/regulations and management specifics pertaining to daily tasks are complied with, and to deal with/report any breaching thereof. Responsible for ensuring the health and safety of people in his/her team and for people entering his/her area of responsibility.Roles And Responsibilities Include The FollowingFill in Safe Declaration Appointment (Reg. 2.10.6)Transfer all relevant information over into Safe Declaration bookStation / Landing - Check material / cars and servicesWaiting Place - Clean / safe / barricade in place, appoint Comp.”A” in Safe Declaration Book for responsible area, collect clock cards and mark gang make upConduct meeting (Safety / production / briefs / labour / leave), confirm daily tasks / plan(ensure material / equipment available ) and check material in storeEnsure notice board up to date, all explosive boxes locked/clean, First Aid Box and ventilation as per standard procedure, velocity/ W/B,D/B).Test for gasses and do Fire Drill (monthly) at Refuge BayFace Preparation - Check barring(HW/face/S/walls), replacement of missing/damaged support, all sockets washed/plugged, examine/wash out all M/F’s, F/W washed as per Mine standards and Camlok jacks installed as per Mine standardsCleaning - Proper Night Shift preparations as per Mine standardsCharging up - De-sludge all shot holes properlyMeasuring (during shift) - Face advance daily (top+bottom+ASG)Supervision Points - Ensure do Panned Task Observations, on the job training, Visible Felt Leadership, problem solving/Grievances, action on substandard workMaintain good employee relations. - Effective two way open communication with team.
