Storage & Backup Specialist | Ashdod | IAI – ELTA SystemsWe are looking for a Storage & Backup Specialist to join the Software Plant at ELTA’s IT organization.This is a highly technical and hands-on role involving end-to-end responsibility for enterprise-level storage and backup environments across the company.The position includes:• Managing, operating, and maintaining central storage systems based on Dell EMC, NetApp, and VAST• Full ownership of the organizational backup environment based on Veeam• Working with SAN infrastructure (Brocade) and Hitachi storage systems• Designing, planning, and implementing new storage and backup solutions• Optimizing system performance, availability, and efficiency• Troubleshooting complex issues (Tier 3), conducting root cause analyses, and leading resolutions• Automating management and monitoring processes using scripting tools• Providing professional support and consultation to development and operations teamsWhat we are looking for:• At least 5 years of experience in infrastructure, storage, or backup roles within enterprise environments – required• Proven hands-on experience managing Dell EMC and NetApp storage systems – required• Deep expertise with Veeam Backup & Replication – required• Experience with VAST Data storage – strong advantage• Solid understanding of storage communication protocols (NFS, CIFS, FC, iSCSI)• Knowledge of scripting languages (PowerShell, Python) for automation – advantage• Proactive mindset, self-learning ability, and strong system-level understanding• Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines• Excellent communication skills in Hebrew and English• Active security clearance – advantageGood to know:The IT organization at IAI Ashdod is looking for a skilled Storage & Backup Specialist to join a leading infrastructure team.This is a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies, take part in the design and maintenance of critical enterprise systems, and be part of a dynamic and highly professional environment at the forefront of technological innovation.
