Leading a team of storage engineers and collaborating with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration and optimal operation of storage infrastructure.Overseeing the design, deployment, and maintenance of storage systems to ensure high availability, performance, and securityManaging and mentoring a team of storage engineers, fostering collaboration and productivity while providing guidance for successful project executionMonitoring storage usage and planning for future capacity needs, ensuring efficient and cost-effective allocation of resourcesImplementing and maintaining performance monitoring tools to track storage system health and optimizing configurations for improved performance and reliabilityEnsuring compliance with security policies and regulatory requirements by implementing best practices for data protection, encryption, and access controlDeveloping and maintaining disaster recovery plans for storage systems, ensuring effective backup and recovery processes with regular testingManaging relationships with storage vendors and service providers, evaluating and selecting solutions that align with organizational requirementsMaintaining detailed documentation of storage infrastructure, configurations, and procedures, and preparing regular reports on performance, capacity, and issuesCollaborating with network, server, and application teams to ensure seamless integration and smooth operation of storage systemsStaying up-to-date with the latest storage technologies and trends, implementing new strategies to enhance storage infrastructure and operationsWhat You'll Bring Along Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field would be nice to haveMinimum 5-10 years of experience in storage management, with a proven track record of managing large-scale storage systemsDeep knowledge of storage technologies, including SAN, NAS, and DAS. Familiarity with storage management tools and softwareStrong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team of IT professionalsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex storage issuesStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse teams and stakeholdersProficiency in project management methodologies and tools. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyIn-depth understanding of storage security best practices, including data encryption and access controlExperience in managing vendor relationships and evaluating storage solutionsRelevant certifications such as Certified Storage Networking Expert (CSNE), VMware Certified Professional (VCP), or similarExcellent command of both spoken and written English
