Workfast is currently seeking an experienced Stores & Purchasing Officer to join our client’s Defence Operations team in Seven Hills.Salary: $90,000 to $110,000 per annum (inclusive of Superannuation)Hours: 7:00am to 3:30pmLocation: Seven Hills, NSWYou’ll be responsible for sourcing and purchasing goods and services, maintaining accurate inventory control, coordinating deliveries, and ensuring efficient warehouse operations. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented and safety-focused professional looking to join a leading organisation known for its innovation, teamwork, and quality.What You GetCompetitive salary package ($90,000–$110,000 inclusive of super)Permanent full-time positionMonday to Friday role based in Seven Hills, NSWWork with a leading Defence and manufacturing organisationSupportive team culture focused on safety, teamwork, and performanceLong-term opportunity with career growth and professional developmentWhat you needMinimum 4 years’ experience in a purchasing, stores, or supply chain roleExperience in inventory management, procurement, and logistics coordinationProficient with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and Microsoft Office SuiteStrong organisational and problem-solving skills with high attention to detailSound knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirementsValid Forklift Licence (LF) and current Driver’s LicenceCertificate III or higher in Warehousing, Supply Chain, Purchasing, or related discipline (desirable)Full Australian working rightsAbility to pass a pre-employment Police Check, Drug & Alcohol Test, and Medical AssessmentWhat you will be doingManaging daily stores and warehouse operations including receipting, storage, and dispatchInspecting incoming goods against purchase orders and resolving discrepanciesMaintaining accurate inventory records and performing regular stocktakesSourcing and purchasing goods and services to meet production and operational requirementsRaising purchase orders, monitoring deliveries, and expediting critical itemsLiaising with suppliers to negotiate pricing, delivery, and quality standardsOperating forklifts and handling materials safely and efficientlyGenerating documentation including NCRs for non-conforming goodsMaintaining warehouse organisation, cleanliness, and compliance with safety proceduresAbout usWorkfast is a labour-hire company working with some of Australia's largest companies.
