Job DescriptionAs a Strategic Account Manager, you will maintain client relationships with key target accounts that have a strategic impact on the long-term success of the organization. You will identify cross/upsell and repeat sales opportunities. You will develop and close new business based on an assigned territory or market segment.Responsibilities Key Account ManagementCollaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute strategic account plans for priority clients. Gain a deep understanding of clients’ organizational structures, nurture relationships across all stakeholder levels, identify unmet business needs, and deliver tailored value-driven solutions. Bidding & Project DeliveryManage the full bidding lifecycle in alignment with clients’ procurement timelines—independently leading resource coordination, proposal development, and bid submission. Drive end-to-end project execution to ensure successful delivery and client satisfaction. Cross-team AlignmentAct as a liaison between regional teams and global account teams to advance new contract negotiations, implement value-added services, and optimize Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) commitments, ultimately increasing client wallet share. Opportunity Pipeline OversightMaintain and manage a robust opportunity pipeline for assigned key accounts, encompassing contract renewals, new project initiatives, and share expansion opportunities. Provide regular updates to leadership on pipeline status, renewal progress, and strategic plan milestones. Supplier & Resource CollaborationEngage and align supplier sales resources to leverage their expertise, secure necessary support, and co-create client-centric solutions that address specific business challenges.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.Minimum 3 years of proven experience in strategic key account management, with demonstrated expertise in the data center industry and a track record of successful key account maintenance and expansion.Business-level fluency in English (written and verbal) is mandatory for global stakeholder engagement.Familiarity with corporate bidding/procurement processes, plus hands-on experience leading million-level projects from bid to delivery.Proficiency in CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).Strong ability to identify hidden opportunities within client accounts, navigate cross-functional matrix organizations, and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.Self-motivated with the capacity to work effectively under pressure; Willingness to travel up to 25% as required.About The TeamAt Wesco, we build, connect, power and protect the world.
