If you are energised by the prospect of working in a connected, resilient team — one that values trust, open communication, and shared success — you’ll find purpose here.The Team You'll JoinDeloitte’s award-winning Technology and Transformation consulting practice spans a wide range of services which has positioned us as a market leader around the world.Our Systems Delivery and Modernisation practice is looking for an experienced Associate Director, committed to achieving outstanding results together with our clients.Job DescriptionThe impact you’ll makeDesigning, establishing and running large scale Portfolio and Transformation Management Offices supporting strategic vision and delivery value and portfolio performance monitoring.Leading and supporting business development within large portfolios of work through building marketplace relationships, proposal writing, client presentations, and thought leadership.Accountable for establishing and maintaining delivery standards and processes across large portfolios of work, ensuring alignment with strategic outcomes.Lead a team of Portfolio Analysts in driving and managing large portfolios of work, providing leadership and guidance to ensure effective reporting, analysis, and decision support.Leading capability uplift for programmes and projects – fostering industry good practice from mobilisation through to benefits realisation.Accountable to ensure the portfolio is structured to deliver outcomes effectively, with clear governance, prioritisation models, and performance monitoring mechanisms in place.Conducting independent reviews, health checks, and assurance engagements across portfolios, programmes, and projects.Contributing to Deloitte’s capability development in portfolio, programme and project management.QualificationsYour expertise10+ years proven experience leading large programmes and strategic portfolios across a range of programmes (ERP, Workforce Enablement, CRM, etc).Experience shaping portfolio and programme vision and goals aligned to corporate strategy.Experience scanning and shaping dynamic environments to identify risks and opportunities, guiding future portfolio direction.Proven experience using enterprise scheduling and dependency tools to manage portfolio-level plans, dashboards, and performance controls.Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels.Proven experience to oversee benefits management across a portfolio, with strong understanding of benefits identification, tracking, and realisation processes to ensure strategic value is delivered.Hold relevant Portfolio and Programme Management certifications (e.g. MoP, MSP, PRINCE2, PMI, P3O)Prior consulting experience including business development, ideally within a professional services firm or similar environment.Experience working with large organisations – health, financial services and public sector would be advantages.Additional InformationMaking an impact that matters, together: We are driven by our desire to create positive outcomes for our clients, communities, and people.
