Join us as Strategic Sourcing Lead and help shape the supply chain behind next‑generation maritime battery systems.As Strategic Sourcing Lead for Energy Storage Solutions, you will own the category strategy and supplier ecosystem behind our offerings for energy storage systems. You will secure capacity, reduce total cost of ownership, and enable technology innovation across a rapidly scaling product portfolio. This is a high‑impact role with visibility to senior leadership and influence on multi‑million‑euro sourcing decisions. This role reports to Global Category Manager.Apply now as applicants will be reviewd on a rolling basis.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute sourcing strategies for energy storage components and systems (battery modules/packs, racks, thermal management, fire suppression)Lead RFI/RFP/RFQ processes, negotiations, and framework agreementsPartner with Engineering and Product teams to ensure supplier involvement in NPI/NPD and ramp-up readinessBuild partnerships that deliver quality, reliability, sustainabilityMitigate risk through dual-sourcing, capacity planning, and compliance with export control, security and compliance requirementsUse analytics and digital tools (e.g., Power BI) to track value and inform decisionsTravel: ~10–20% (domestic/international)QualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s in Supply Chain, Engineering or Business (or equivalent experience).5+ years in strategic sourcing/procurement for complex electro-mechanical systems—ideally energy storage, batteries or power electronics.Strong global negotiation and contracting experience.Knowledge of battery technologies and relevant standards; maritime or industrial project experience is an advantage.Proficiency with ERP tools and Microsoft 365; Power BI skills preferred.Excellent English communicationWho You AreYou are determined, innovative, collaborative, and reliable—you finish what you start, improve what you touch, succeed as a team, and deliver on your promises.This employment may require security clearance by the Norwegian National Security Authority, clearance through Civil Aviation Authority or a background check.What We Can Offer YouAt Kongsberg Maritime, you will join a global leader in maritime and energy technology, working with sustainable solutions that truly make a difference.
