This includes assisting with performance programs and trainings for athletes and supervising the facility and equipment.Here’s How You’ll Have An ImpactFacility OperationsMonitor and supervise the strength and conditioning facility, including opening and closing duties.Ensure the disinfecting and cleanliness of the training areas and equipment of the strength and conditioning facility at the CSOPTC, according to USOPC protocols.Assist with scheduling and supervising resident athletes and junior and national team training camps.Keep accurate records of weight room usage and access.Maintain daily upkeep of facility and equipment.Manage the strength and conditioning facility when Senior Strength & Conditioning Coach and Strength & Conditioning Coach are traveling or away.Participate in roundtables and continuing education with Strength & Conditioning Staff.Sport PerformanceProvide top-level performance services to assist athletes training at the Colorado Springs Olympic & Paralympic Training Center (CSOPTC).Assist inimplementing and supervisingstrength, speed, and conditioning programsforelite athletes training at the CSOPTC.Aid inconductingperformance testing and monitoring of athletes that may include collection, analysis, and interpretation of results.Work with USOPC Strength & Conditioning coaches in providing coverage for athletes while the staff is traveling. Develop and maintain a solid understanding of each coach’s programming style and expectations for implementation. Report back to coaches on sessions and have the trust to adjust as needed.Provide athlete-specific training plans for assigned athletes and teams.Teach, instruct,and spot athletes effectively on proper strength training and Olympic weightliftingtechniques.Establish and maintain professionalrelationshipswith OPTC Operations, USOPC Sports Performance,NGBs, and other stakeholders.Perform other duties as assigned.Here are the skills and experience you'll need to be effective:Bachelor’s degree in exercise or sport scienceor equivalent work experienceMaster’s degree or pursuing amaster’s degree inexercisescience or related fieldpreferredOne of thenationally recognizedcertificationsin strength and conditioning:Collegiate Strength & Conditioning Coaches Association: Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC)National Strength & Conditioning Associate: Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS)USA Weightlifting: Level 1Current CPR/First Aid Certification1-2 years of strengthandconditioning experienceExperience in conductingand analyzing sport performance testingExperience in periodization, programming, and implementationAbility to effectively teach and demonstrate proper exercise technique in weight training and speed developmentDemonstrated capacity towork well in team environments with representatives from a wide range of disciplinary backgroundsExcellent organizational skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability toeffectively present to groups of varying sizesDemonstratedability to work in fast-paced multidisciplinary team environmentHere Are The Tools, Equipment, & ConditionsStrength andconditioning facilityandequipmentMust be able to lift 100lbs.Standard office equipmentMicrosoft Applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OutlookCleaning suppliesIndoor and outdoor training and testing environmentProlongedstandingandphysical activityEarly morning, late evening, and weekend hoursas neededRegular attendance at work is an essential job functionHere's Where You'll WorkColorado Springs Olympic & Paralympic Training CenterHere's Some More Information You Need To KnowHiring pay range $17.74 - $20.00 per hourThis Full-Time, Non-Exempt, temporary position is intended to work 40 hours per week for a one-year assignmentBenefits: This position will be eligible for USOPC benefits.
