At Offsite, we’re not just shaping timber — we’re reshaping how construction happens.The Structural CAD/CAM Detailer – Cadwork is responsible for producing accurate 3D models and shop drawings of prefabricated timber wall, floor, and roof elements using Cadwork. This mid-level role focuses on executing projects with a high level of independence, applying OFFSITE’s DfMA methodology and established work flows. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in detailing timber constructions, experience using Cadwork or similar 3D platforms, and a mindset oriented toward manufacturability, buildability, and process accuracy!This role suits experienced detailers capable of independently delivering high-quality design outputs within a structured workflow environment. It offers a clear pathway to a Senior-Level Position based on output quality, initiative, and demonstrated ability to contribute to team and project success.What you’ll do:·     3D modelling and Shop Drawing Creation·     Project Execution and Documentation Control·     Cross Functional Collaboration·     Workflow Compliance and Continuous Improvement·     Developing Proficiency in Cadwork softwareWhat we are looking for:Essential:·        1+ years Timber frame and truss detailing OR·        Diploma level or Higher National Certificate qualified (Architectural, Structural Engineering or Engineered Timber Technician) OR·         1+ years as a qualified carpenter in residential timber frame construction·        A strong knowledge of prefabricated timber construction systems, especially roof and floor trusses·        Experience in technical drawing and modelling and CAD/CAM workflows·        Advanced CAD/CAM Software experience ideally CADwork·        Ability to interpret and comply with the BCA and other relevant Australian Standards (Australian specific knowledge preferred).·        Work to Design libraries and standard details to deliver a consistent product.·        Possess strong interpersonal skills with clear and confident communication·        Experience in Microsoft Office Suite.Desirable:·        Carpenter background, 3+ years’ experience in detailing for prefabrication·        Cadwork, Revit, MiTek Sapphire, hsbCADOur Values:We’re a team that thrives on honesty, learning, innovation, and collaboration.
