To support this transformation, we’re now strengthening our team in Stenungsund/Karlstad and looking for a skilled Senior Structural Engineer who shares our vision.Our local offices in Stenungsund (60) and Karlstad (30) includes around 90 specialists – piping designers, project managers, construction managers, electrical and automation engineers, inspectors, and structural engineers – working together on complex and impactful projects. Our clients include leading companies in petrochemicals, energy production, and pulp & paper.With strong digital tools, we collaborate seamlessly with clients and colleagues across COWI’s global network. Our project scope often includes the full lifecycle – from feasibility studies and concept development to detailed design, procurement, construction supervision, and final inspection.YOUR ROLE AS STRUCTURAL ENGINEERAs a Senior Structural Engineer, you’ll contribute your civil engineering expertise to industrial projects of varying size and complexity. You'll be part of multi-disciplinary teams and involved throughout all project phases.Your main responsibilities will include:Designing foundation and load-bearing systems, particularly for concrete structuresDeveloping and analyzing structural models using 2D, 3D, and advanced calculation toolsPerforming structural dimensioning and verifications for stabilizing systems and client-specified elementsDesigning both concrete and steel structures, including technical detailingLeading early-phase planning including structural system selection and preliminary calculationsExecuting detailed design with 3D modelling and structural simulationsCollaborating across disciplines to ensure high-quality, integrated solutions for our clientsWHO YOU ARETo succeed in this role, you are proactive, collaborative, and technically skilled.
