Job Description

THE ROLE The Structural Engineer will be responsible for assessing, inspecting, analyzing, and reporting on the structural integrity of residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments in compliance with RERA (Dubai Real Estate Regulatory Authority) and Dubai Municipality standards. The role involves supporting technical due diligence, building condition audits under the supervision of the senior consultancy team.WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING1. Structural Assessments & InspectionsConduct structural integrity inspections.Perform site inspections to identify defects, cracks, settlement, corrosion, and distress in structural components.Evaluate the condition of concrete, steel, and load-bearing elements using visual and non-destructive testing (NDT) methods.Prepare Structural Condition Reports (SCR) and Building Condition Audit (BCA) reports in compliance with RERA and Dubai Municipality guidelines.2. Technical AnalysisReview as-built drawings, structural design drawings, and material test reports.Analyze structural performance and load-bearing capacity where required.Recommend remedial actions, repair methodologies, and preventive maintenance strategies.3. Compliance & DocumentationEnsure all reporting formats meet RERA-approved templates and standards.Coordinate with RERA-registered engineers and ensure compliance with UAE Building Code and Fire & Life Safety Code.Maintain accurate documentation for regulatory submissions and client reports.4. Coordination & ReportingCollaborate with Architectural, MEP, and Civil teams for integrated assessments.Present findings and technical recommendations to clients, project managers, and regulatory bodies.Support the preparation of Building Completion Certificates, Condition Audits, and Reserve Fund Studies.WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FORBachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.Registered / Licensed Engineer with Society of Engineers - UAE.Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in structural design, inspection, or condition auditing.Experience with Dubai Municipality, Trakhees, or RERA submissions is a strong advantage.Familiarity with international standards such as BS, ACI, ASCE, and RICS for building assessments.Proficiency in AutoCAD, STAAD Pro, ETABS, and MS Office.Strong technical writing and communication skills.Experience in Building Condition Audits (BCA), Structural Audits.Knowledge of non-destructive testing methods and inspection tools.Prior consultancy experience in UAE is highly desirable.DM certified structural engineer.
