Exposure to varied high profile projects & clients across building servicesRole based in Auckland or Wellington office, with hybrid work environment5 weeks of leaveAbout the roleThe NZ Structural Engineering Lead is responsible for leading the structural engineering teams across the Auckland and Wellington offices while delivering high-quality engineering solutions projects. This role includes managing technical resources, managing staff, and ensuring compliance with relevant codes and regulations.Lead and manage the structural engineering team, providing direction and mentorship to staff.Oversee the design and implementation of engineering solutions for various projects.Strong emphasis on business development and be active in driving new revenue opportunities for the structural teamCollaborate with clients, architects, and other engineering disciplinesEnsure all projects adhere to local, state, and national regulations, standards, and best practices.Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure timely delivery of high-quality services.Conduct technical reviews and provide guidance on complex structural engineering issues.Foster a culture of safety and innovation within the team, encouraging continuous improvement and professional development.Develop and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring their needs and expectations are met.Prepare technical reports, proposals, and presentations for stakeholders.Who we’re looking forA senior practitioner with technical expertise recognised in the local marketBachelor’s degree in StructuralMust be Chartered Professional Engineer and able to provide Producer StatementsProven experience in structural engineering design and project management, preferably in a consultancy environment.Strong knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.has excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex information clearly to stakeholders.Has strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and drive change.Can work alongside existing leaders and in multidisciplinary teams and can effectively collaborate with and drive the performance of those around them.Has a proven track record in delivering projects from concept to completion.A proactive and forward-thinking approach to structural engineering challenges.Commitment to continuous professional development and a passion for innovationAbility to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.About NDYNDY, A Tetra Tech Company, is a leading firm of consulting engineers with a global presence.
