Structural Steel Detailer

This is a hands on, onsite position based in the Greater Melbourne Area, where you’ll play a vital role in producing detailed shop drawings, coordinating with fabricators, and ensuring every project is executed with precision. Macrofab specialise in Concrete, Structural Steel, and Light Gauge Framing and Concrete 3D printing - there will never be a dull moment with lots of moving parts. ResponsibilitiesProduce accurate, detailed shop drawings and steel detailing plans for fabrication and erection.Prepare and review rebar and steel structure drawings in compliance with project specifications.Collaborate with engineers, architects, and fabricators to resolve design and coordination issues.Ensure all drawings meet applicable codes, standards, and quality requirements.Maintain organised documentation and revision control throughout the project lifecycle.Support project delivery through technical accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail.RequiredProven experience in Shop Drawings and Steel Detailing.Strong understanding of rebar, steel structures, and fabrication processes.Proficiency in CAD Design software (preferably Tekla Structures).Exceptional attention to detail and precision in drawings and documentation.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.You’ll be working in a company that offers multiple avenues for growth, depending on your interests and goals.
