The successful candidates will be closely aligned with our core values and ethos and possess a genuine understanding and appreciation of the values of the region.ResponsibilitiesKey ResponsibilitiesFront of house for the Pastoral Team.Effective, sensitive and personable communication skills with students, parents and staff. Communication may be in written form, e-mail, via phone or in person.Establish and maintain interpersonal relationships by developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintaining them over timeSupport of reception staff and attendance officer in regards to students whereabouts.Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.Use of Internal SystemsHave an awareness of school wide systems that impact the Pastoral Team. e.g. Reporting, Assemblies, Admissions, Clinic, Heads of Department.Play an active role working with the Pastoral Team to plan, implement and improve both internal or external systems or processes by thinking logically, creatively and collaboratively. e.g. attendance, punctuality, starters and leavers, lockers.Managing the calendars of the Assistant Principal, Heads of Year and Heads of Key Stage. Managing the planning, organising and scheduling of events.Working closely with relevant Assistant Principal, Heads of Year, Heads of Key Stage as well as working with admissions, housekeeping, IT and external providers if required. e.g. GCSE Open Evening, Information Evenings, Annual Awards, Assemblies and reward parties.Keeping abreast of internal events and identifying and managing clashes of venues / year groups and times.DataEnsuring all pastoral information and data is: accurate, timely, approved, reliable, clear and fit for purpose. E.g. attendance, punctuality, internal interventions and rewardsMaintenance of robust and accurate data / records and monitoring specific legal and organisational systems within school as appropriate.Other ResponsibilitiesCommunicate effectively, sensitively, responsibly with line managers, colleagues, students, and customers / parents by providing information by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person which is accurate, timely and conciseEstablish and Maintain Interpersonal Relationships - Developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, and maintaining them over timeTo participate in the school’s community activities.Follow up on attendanceTo provide administrative support to the Heads of Pastoral Primary in accordance with school policy and procedures. For example, written correspondence and telephone calls to parents; dealing with messages and enquiries; maintaining records; producing reports/ spreadsheets.To provide administrative support for school pastoral systems relating to Reflections, uniform, attendance, home-school agreements, leave of absence forms.To act as an interpreter at parent-student meetings, as required.To translate key written correspondence from English to Arabic, or vice versa;TPOC for organisation of ECA,s, Trips, activities and Events between students, parents, teachers and Authorities.Main point of contact of the trips and visits organiser at school level.Any duties as required by the line manager(sQualificationsMinimum QualificationsSchool leavers certificate or educational equivalent.English and Mathematics to GCSE or equivalent.Minimum ExperienceRelevant ExperienceCurrently or previously a front of house assistant, secretary, clerical, office or administration assistantJob Specific Knowledge & SkillsComputer literate including the use of Isams, Microsoft, Canva or other design programmes.Experience of working as part of a team.Must be proficient in both English and Arabic (speaking, reading and writing)IT literate: knowledge and expertise of office procedures and appropriate software including Microsoft Office.Aldar Education is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment.
