Job Description:  Studio Video ProducerLocation: Chiyoda Tokyo JapanType Full Time:This position will be seconded into one of Vega Global’ s largest banking clients. They are a globally recognized Top Tier US investment bank, with an extensive footprint across Asia Pacific. Position overview:The Video Producer will be responsible for overseeing and managing the entire video production process, from concept development to final delivery to the clients end users. This role will based at the clients newly built production studio located in Chiyoda-ku Tokyo.  It is a creative director’s role, and will involve collaboration with various stakeholders, including end user clients, creative teams, production crews, with the aim to ensure the successful execution of high-quality video projects within budget and timeline constraints. The Video Producer will play a vital role in helping the clients internal clients translate ideas into compelling visual content that meets the organization's goals and Key Responsibilities: 1. Project Management:·      Work closely with LOB clients, content creators, and cross-functional teams to understand project requirements, objectives, and key messages.·      Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring that all production activities are well-coordinated and delivered on schedule.·      Provide clear direction, feedback, and guidance to creative teams, including scriptwriters, videographers, editors, and animators, throughout the production process.·      Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and resources effectively. 2. Pre-production:·      Collaborate with LOB and internal stakeholders to conceptualize video ideas, storyboards, and scripts that align with the project objectives.·      Develop production schedules, shot lists, and detailed production plans.·      Oversee casting, location scouting, budgeting, and acquisition of necessary permits or releases.·      Coordinate logistics, equipment, and resource planning to ensure a smooth production process. 3. Production:·      Direct and supervise the production team during filming, ensuring adherence to the creative vision, script, and technical requirements.·      Manage on-set activities, including setting up equipment, lighting, sound, and ensuring a professional work environment.·      Provide clear communication and direction to talent, crew members, and other relevant parties involved in the production.·      Provide creative direction to stakeholders who ordinarily will not be familiar with the creative video process, content creation and creative messaging.·      Troubleshoot issues that may arise during filming and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal video quality. 4. Post-production:·      Review and select the best takes, shots, and audio tracks to create a cohesive story.·      Work closely with editors and animators to guide the post-production process, including video editing, colour correction, sound design, graphics, and visual effects.·      Undertake a quality review of the final video product to ensure it meets the desired standards and objectives.·      Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to incorporate feedback and make necessary revisions until the final video is approved. 5. Budgeting and Administration:·      Prepare and manage budgets for video projects, ensuring resources are allocated effectively.·      Track project expenses, reconcile invoices, and manage vendor relationships.·      Provide financial forecasts of future production and studio use.·      Unsure the firm in receiving maximin return from its investment in the Honk Kong based production studio.·      Maintain accurate documentation, including project files, contracts, releases, and licensing agreements.Requirements:·      Bachelor's degree in film production, communications, media studies, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)·      Language; Bilingual - English and Japanese preferred ·      Proven experience as a Video Producer or a similar role, with a portfolio of successful video projects·      The candidate may have directed corporate videos, television commercials is the past. ·      Proficiency in video production processes, including pre-production, production, and post-production phases.·      Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.·      Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.·      Proficiency in video editing software and other relevant tools, such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or Avid Media Composer.·      Knowledge of current trends, techniques, and standards in video production.·      Creative thinking and storytelling abilities.·      Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
