Job Description

Job DescriptionAs a Maintenance Electrician for the Day Shift, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing production equipment to minimise downtime and ensure efficient operations. You will be working within a structured maintenance schedule, diagnosing faults, and implementing solutions to maintain high levels of equipment availability. This role requires flexibility to cover different shifts when required. Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out planned and preventative maintenance to ensure minimal disruption to production. Diagnose and rectify electrical faults quickly and efficiently. Maintain accurate reports on equipment failures and preventative actions taken. Work closely with other departments to ensure production deadlines are met.

Monitor equipment condition and consult with supervisors to address potential issues. Adhere to all health and safety policies, ensuring a safe working environment. Contribute to process improvements and operational efficiency initiatives. Attend meetings and training as required. What We’re Looking ForRegistered Electrician ideally with an industrial background. Current practising licence. Experience with PLCs, Analogue/Digital control, and AC/DC motor drive systems. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and fault-find effectively. Bonus having a familiarity with newspaper presses (Goss manufacture) and publishing/packaging equipment. Strong computer skills and knowledge of communication protocols (232, 422, Ethernet).
