You will be required to relocate for this position.Language requirements: English (intermediate level)At Eni, we are looking for a Subsea Engineer within Eni Rovuma Basin in Maputo, Mozambique. You will be responsible for supporting the Drilling, Completion and Development team in the engineering, design, manufacturing, testing and installation of subsea production systems, with a focus on landing string operations, IWOCS system setup, well testing, slickline and subsea completion operations. You will ensure that the design meets project requirements, applicable standards and engineering best practices.Your employment contract will be managed by Eni International Resources Ltd (EIRL).About Eni Rovuma Basin B.V.Eni Rovuma Basin B.V. is a key player in the development and production of natural gas in the Rovuma Basin, offshore Mozambique. Employees benefit from a dynamic and innovative work environment that prioritizes sustainability and professional growth.Main ResponsibilitiesAssist the Drilling Superintendent with subsea BOP troubleshooting.Review and comment on technical documentation produced by contractors (e.g., technical reports, specifications, procedures, drawings), ensuring compliance with established procedures and good engineering practice.Select and configure components such as the Subsea Test Tree (SSTT), lubricator valves, retainer valves and surface flow tree.Conduct System Integration Testing (SIT) for the landing string system.Act as the focal point for the five-year re-certification of subsea landing string equipment.Ensure compatibility of the landing string with rig systems, risers and the BOP stack.Serve as the focal point for drillship modifications to accommodate IWOCS and landing string integration, as well as coiled tubing operations, including selection and installation of the coiled tubing lifting frame.Follow up on offshore operations on the drillship for landing string operations and well testing.Demonstrate solid knowledge of horizontal X-tree systems and subsea completion operations.Demonstrate solid knowledge of IWOCS (Intervention Workover Control System), including but not limited to system setup.Demonstrate solid knowledge of subsea slickline operations.Resolve ongoing technical issues concerning all aspects of subsea equipment.Comply with the country’s Safety, Health and Environmental laws and adhere to the Company’s HSE Policy to achieve strategic objectives. Apply the Company’s HSE Management System, ensuring safe working conditions and compliance with safety and labour regulations. Oversee the implementation of HSE procedures and standards in all activities, supported by training and staff development. Ensure contractors are competent and familiar with Project HSEQ procedures. Prepare the field development strategy, including contracting and the Project HSE Plan. Supervise the risk register and mitigation strategies, manage risks, and coordinate project execution while maintaining the highest HSE standards in line with Company requirements and local legislation. Support the development team in securing all necessary permits and approvals from authorities and third parties.
