Job SummaryThe Test Stand Operator will be responsible for testing Sun Hydraulics’ high-performance cartridge valves through documented test procedures ensuring functionality of valves and adherence to engineering specification.
Duties/ResponsibilitiesUnderstanding how to retrieve and interpret a blueprint drawingUnderstanding of 5S principlesIssuing repair slips for valves that fail testingIdentifying non-conforming parts Perform basic testing and setup procedure of different productsDaily preventative maintenance of test stand such as checking oil levels, changing filters, checking connections for leaks, and housekeeping of working areDeveloping knowledge of Sun product lines and learning how to test and setup more complex valve modelsCommunicating progress of incomplete work orders and issues to next shift Required Skills/AbilitiesWillingness to learn and grow through Sun HydraulicsAbility to diagnose minor mechanical issuesTeam player mentalityExcellent attention to detailPositive attitudeAbility to function in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Ability to prioritize work ordersEducation And ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent is preferredCar maintenance experience is a plusManufacturing experience is a plusPhysical RequirementsProlonged periods of standingProlonged period of sittingAbility to lift 50 pounds at times
