Secondary Supervisor & University Advisor Role DescriptionThe University Advisor & Secondary Supervisor supports students in their academic and personal development by guiding university applications, career pathways, and personal growth while ensuring a safe, disciplined, and supportive environment within the secondary school.This dual role requires a balance of counseling expertise, organizational skills, and active supervision to help students achieve their best outcomes.Reporting to: Head of Secondary / Vice PrincipalResponsibilitiesSecondary Supervision & Student SupportSupervise secondary students during breaks, lunch periods, study halls, and school transitions, ensuring discipline and safety.Enforce school policies and contribute to a positive school culture of respect and accountability.Monitor student behavior, address minor disciplinary issues, and escalate serious concerns to the Head of Secondary.Support teachers and staff in maintaining order during school events, assemblies, and extracurricular activities.Serve as a mentor and point of contact for students who require guidance beyond academics.University & Career AdvisingProvide individualized counseling and support to students in secondary school (Years 9–13) regarding university choices, application processes, scholarships, and career options.Assist students in preparing application documents, including CVs, personal statements, and recommendation requests.Organize university fairs, career days, and workshops to expose students to local and international opportunities.Develop and maintain relationships with universities and higher education institutions.Guide students on standardized testing requirements and application deadlines.Maintain accurate records of students' university plans and application outcomes.Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).Experience in university counseling, academic advising, or student support, preferably in an international school setting.Knowledge of international university systems (UK, US, Canada, Europe, etc.).Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.Experience working with adolescents in both advisory and supervisory capacities.Fluency in English (spoken and written) required.
