Apon Family Mart is looking for Supervisor (Back Store)Job Description / ResponsibilityPosition OverviewThe Supervisor (Back Store) oversees all activities in the back storage area of the retail super shop. This role ensures efficient receiving, storing, replenishing, and dispatching of goods while maintaining accurate stock records and a clean, organized back store environment. The supervisor also coordinates with sales floor teams to ensure gaps are filled on time and helps maintain overall product availability. Key Responsibilities1. Stock & Inventory ManagementEnsure proper receiving of goods from suppliers according to company standards.Monitor accurate counting, labeling, and storing of products.Maintain systematic arrangement of items (FIFO/FEFO application).Conduct daily stock checks and assist in monthly/quarterly inventory audits.Identify stock shortages, damages, and discrepancies and report to management. 2. Back Store OperationsKeep the storage area clean, safe, and organized at all times.Manage space allocation for incoming and outgoing products.Ensure timely replenishment of shelves on the sales floor.Supervise loading/unloading of goods and ensure handling safety. 3. Team SupervisionLead and monitor back store staff (Helpers, Loaders, Inventory Assistants).Assign daily tasks and ensure productivity and discipline.Provide guidance and support to maintain operational efficiency.Train team members on SOPs, safety rules, and product handling. 4. Coordination & CommunicationLiaise with the sales floor, purchasing, and accounts team for smooth stock flow.Communicate issues regarding shortages, overages, or damaged goods.Coordinate with suppliers and delivery personnel when required. 5. Safety & ComplianceEnsure compliance with store policies and hygiene standards.Enforce safety protocols for heavy lifting, equipment use, and storage.Monitor expiration dates and ensure proper disposal or return of expired/damaged items.Educational RequirementsBachelor/HonorsBachelor’s degree or equivalent (preferred).Experience Requirements3 to 5 year(s)The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):Real Estate,Diagnostic Centre,Developer,Super store,Food (Packaged)Additional RequirementsQualifications & Requirements3–5 years of experience in retail back store/warehouse operations.Strong knowledge of inventory management and stock handling.Ability to lead and supervise staff effectively.Basic computer skills (MS Excel, inventory software preferred).Good communication and problem-solving abilities.Physically fit for handling stock movement tasks.Key SkillsStock ManagementTeam LeadershipOrganizational SkillsTime ManagementAttention to DetailProblem-SolvingCommunicationJob LocationDhaka
