Supervisor, Chemical Lab

Main purpose of the role: Supervise the testing operations & experiments in chemical laboratory, provide technical direction to lab staff, manage lab safety and maintain inventories of chemical & supplies to ensure laboratory operates smoothly within industry lab practice and quality system ISO/IEC 17025 standardsJob description:Perform tests on incoming jobs independently according to the standard procedures with due consideration of the job priority and record test results in the correct formatCheck & review the test reports for both internal & external testsEnsure the laboratory is properly and safety equipped to standardSuggest the test parameters to requestors for any chemical test requisitionKeep track on all testing status and ensure the due date is followedMonitor and ensure the test equipment and instruments are in good condition as well as duly calibrated according to the assigned calibration scheduleAssist in new test development including identify potential improvement areas to existing testing techniques and design experiment & control testing parameterCorodinate the external testing activities on chemical tests and work closely with external laboratory to align with their capacity and test result planning.Assist to review the regulatory test report from OEM/ODM and give the comment on the obtained test report to SQAssist in manpower planning, training & development of staff and control the effectiveness and efficiency of workflow systems in chemical laboratoryDeploy the way for continuous improvement the workflows/processes.Provide technical support, presentation to demonstrate to all stakeholders.Execute and follow the relevant compliance regarding the ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001 and ISO/IEC 17025Qualification:ฺBachelor degree or higher in chemistry/material science or related fieldsMinimum of 3-5 years’ experience in chemical laboratoryHave knowledge & experience of chemical testing method & test equipmentManufacturing, testing laboratory in jewelry industry are preferred
