The OpportunityLead supply quality and development activities for the factory under your responsibility. Ensure the highest quality standards and on-time delivery of suppliers, materials and parts using quality assurance methodologies and necessary supplier improvement initiatives. Drive sustainability in the supply chain. Conduct quality audits, surveillance, and inspections at supplier manufacturing locations. Perform supply quality issue resolution for escalated suppliers. Lead supplier performance improvement actions for targeted suppliers. This position will be based in Bac Ninh, Vietnam.How You’ll Make An ImpactYou will contribute to the supplier qualification process through execution of SAP Ariba based assessments, lead the supplier audit planning process and execute the regional on-site audits, facilitate the implementation of improvement actions at the suppliers based on the on-site audits’ findings, detailed process assessments and/or lessons learned from critical quality incidents.You will ensure critical parts and major changes are approved through the global parts approval process to guarantee that supplier materials/components can fulfill technical and operational requirements, monitor and consolidate the available supplier performance indicators and escalations, to identify low-performing suppliers in the respective category and lead the annual Supplier Performance Evaluation (SPE) process for the respective category.Based on escalations from factories and other performance indicators, you will define and implement action plans to recover supplier performance, collaborate closely with underperforming suppliers to ensure the implementation of necessary operational and quality corrective actions and lead the resolution of escalated non-conformities with the respective supplier.You will take ownership of supplier management processes at regional level, driving continuous improvement of related procedures, tools, and LECI clarifications, ensure compliance and promote best practices across the region and conduct trainings for SCM and other functions to ensure full implementation and adherence to supplier management processes within the business unit.You will support the SCM Sustainability initiatives as needed by executing defined tasks related to Supplier Development Engineers (SDEs), with the focus on material compliance, supplier sustainability, and material sustainability processes.You will be responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.Living Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.Your BackgroundDegree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management or a related field.Minimum of 7 years of experience in quality assurance and supplier development.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with strong organizational and time management skills.Willingness to travel regionally to conduct supplier assessments and audits. Proven skills in auditing and product qualification processes.Preferrable to have knowledge in manufacturing of Tank Manufacturing, electrical steel, cores, conductors, insulation kits, insulation boards, bushings, tap changers and other transformer accessories.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of interacting with suppliers and cross-functional teams effectively.
