Position SummaryThe Supply Chain Coordinator oversees the flow of goods, resources, and information required by the supply chain to ensure that critical processes run effectively and achieve organizational goals and performance KPIs. The Coordinator oversees coordination with procurement, production, inventory control, distribution, transportation, and other functions to optimize the supply chain. Ostara’s supply chain operates globally in Canada, USA, Europe, and other international locations.

Essential FunctionsTracks and monitors inventory levels at multiple production and multiple warehouse locations, working closely with 3PL partners, site operation staff, and internal teamsReconciles shipment discrepancies, month end inventory counts, and annual auditsSupports internal teams (Finance, Operations, and Sales) with accurate inventory records, forecasts, and planningServe as a primary point of contact for customer orders and shipments, maintaining a high level of responsiveness while proactively communicating status updates, delays, and resolutions to customers and internal stakeholders.

Coordinates product shipments to and from warehouses, communicating with shippers, receivers, and carriers; ensures product shipment and storage requirements are metDocuments shipments in daily planner, ERP System, and production tracker. Documents production in daily planner, ERP System, and production planner. Maintain Bin Status page. This is what feeds into VSC.

Coordinates product shipments via road, rail, and ocean modes to customers, communicating with freight carriers, customers, and sales teamDevelops and maintains a freight carrier base and work within broker networks to book shipments, meeting required deadlinesSupports finished product Sales Team with customer history records, transportation quotes, available to sell inventory reports, and any other support information requestedAccurately creates and issues purchase orders, sales orders, and transfers between various suppliers and site locationsCreates and maintains consistent shipment documents and systematically validates them in a timely manner to support Operations and Finance departmentsConsistently monitors and approves invoices from freight carriers and warehouse partnersIssues production site invoices and receipts, maintaining an accurate Bill of MaterialsReviews and approves cost-related supply chain activitiesOther duties as assignedRequired Skills/abilitiesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with a proven ability to create and maintain positive working relationships with vendors, suppliers, shippers, and customersExcellent organizational, analytical, and mathematical skills and attention to detailExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsProficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related softwareERP systems experience (SAP, Sage, or others) preferredThorough understanding of logistics, supply chain management, and practical applications to support Ostara’s goalsEducation/experienceBachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, or related field required; years of experience will be considered in lieu of a degreeMin of three (3) years of experience required; five (5) years of experience preferred in a similar or related positionExperience in supply chain management:

logistics management, inventory management, and transportation managementPhysical Requirements And Work EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk on the phone, speak with the public, hear on the phone, hear in person, and use hands and fingers. This job requires the employee to sit for prolonged periods with minimal exposure to hot and cold temperature extremes that could be encountered at Ostara’s job sites. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. This job requires close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

The noise level in the office environment is usually low. Location and travelThis position is in St. Louis, MO. Local travel requirement is expected.
