Direct involvement with manufacturing and material requirements to ensure consistent flow of materials to support production. Consolidate spend for all LOBs across the region to leverage volume and performance with Norican Preferred Vendors. Improve overall performance of the North America (NAM) contract manufacturing supply base (Cost, Quality and Delivery Performance). Lead and develop a team to ensure best practice and approach across the AMCAS region. Work with sales and manufacturing teams to ensure that Norican meets sales targets.Job FunctionsMapping and analyzing data and spend patterns, identifying cost drivers and opportunities in NAM regionDefine the outsourcing target and best practice for Norican Group NAMMonitoring expenditures, compliance, supply market dynamics and supplier performance in specific categories,Implementation and further development of the contract manufacturing sourcing strategy in NAM in collaboration with Project Management, Engineering, and Supply ChainManagement of the category in tight collaboration with key business stakeholder, driving quality, cost, negotiating contracts, and lead time performanceDefine NAM contract manufacturing compliance requirements & ensure partners meet or exceed these requirementsWork in close collaboration with the purchasing team to actively manage the performance of Norican’s network via best practices such as regular business reviews and performance scorecards to drive continuous improvement across all relevant performance metricsTraining new and existing employees in the purchasing process and how to use the purchasing systemKey User AX system – ensure purchasing team is fully trained on system and is using properly to update PO dataManage purchasing team includes remote staff, to ensure past due POs are tracked and delivered as soon as possible to meet customer expectationsScorecard vendors to ensure quality and delivery performances meet or exceed Norican standards. Develop performance plans to ensure subpar vendors quickly meet standardsManage department budget and spendPerform annual performance review of staffQualifications & ExperienceDegree (Business, economics, supply chain or similar field) - RequiredEight+ years directly relating to purchasing and cost estimating experience in a manufacturing environment.Based in or near LaGrange, GA office, some work from home availableExcellent analytical and communication skills and be able to work in a fast-paced, team environmentProficient in Microsoft Office; Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
