Job Profile SummaryThe Field Engineer is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining hardware and software products, primarily at customer sites. The role ensures that systems operate as designed and are maintained or upgraded according to requirements. The engineer collaborates with technical teams to deliver effective, timely, and seamless service, ensuring high customer satisfaction and understanding of product functionality. Administrative duties include scheduling services, maintaining service records, and documenting client interactions.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as Field Engineer for large and complex client environments across the full range of company products and services.Perform break/fix support for servers, storage systems, and related infrastructure.Deliver VIP deskside support for critical users.Utilize advanced tools and technical expertise to resolve client issues and perform high-level installation, configuration, and maintenance for storage and network devices.Apply deep knowledge of hardware, software, and operating systems to troubleshoot and resolve escalated incidents.Conduct testing and certification of mainframes, servers, and network-related infrastructure and peripherals.Ensure all administrative and service records are accurately maintained, and client satisfaction is achieved.Key Qualifications3+ of experience in field engineering, IT support, or infrastructure maintenance.Strong troubleshooting skills in server and storage environments.Experience with networking, operating systems, and hardware diagnostics.Excellent communication and customer service skills.Ability to work independently at customer sites with minimal supervision.
