Our VacancyThe Maintenance Support Technician – Mechanical plays a key role in ensuring the Perth Seawater Desalination Plant operates safely, efficiently, and reliably. This hands-on position is suited to a trade-qualified professional with solid mechanical maintenance experience in heavy industry, water, petrochemical, or mining environments.In this role you will:Perform planned and corrective maintenance on mechanical assets, ensuring plant reliability and uptime.Respond to equipment failures, diagnose faults, and implement safe, cost-effective repairs.Carry out preventive maintenance activities such as calibrations, condition monitoring, inspections, lubrication, and equipment replacement.Participate in an on-call roster to provide after-hours maintenance support during unplanned events.Complete maintenance work orders and capture accurate data within the site’s CMMS.Liaise with contractors and issue work clearances and permits according to SUEZ procedures.Support safe work practices by monitoring contractors, ensuring inductions are completed, and maintaining high quality standards.Collaborate closely with Operations, Engineering, and Maintenance teams to coordinate works and continuous improvement activities.About YouYou are an adaptable and proactive tradesperson who thrives in a collaborative, safety-driven environment.
