About The TeamSupport Mates is a fast-growing, purpose-led NDIS provider originally founded on the Gold Coast — now launching in South Gippsland, VIC. We exist to help young people with disabilities build friendships, life skills, and confidence through community-based group and 1:1 support.We’re not a traditional provider — we run cooking programs in commercial kitchens, get active with dance and gym sessions, and prioritise real-world progress over box-ticking.We’re now looking for an experienced, emotionally intelligent support worker to join our small but growing South Gippsland team — helping us build and shape what Support Mates will look like in the region. It’s a rare opportunity to be part of something new and meaningful from the ground up.If you’re someone who leads with empathy, holds strong boundaries, and lights up when building connection with young people — this could be your perfect fit.About the RoleWe’re looking for a Support Worker (South Gippsland | NDIS) to join our growing team. This is a casual position focused on supporting young adults with disabilities to build life skills, confidence, and connection through community-based support.You’ll work primarily 1:1 with a participant and in group settings, helping them navigate everyday routines, engage in activities they enjoy, and build independence over time. The role may involve early starts, longer shifts, and supporting participants with complex needs — so being reliable, calm under pressure, and emotionally intelligent is essential.You’ll receive thorough onboarding and ongoing training, and you’ll be supported by a vibrant team culture that values initiative, collaboration, and personal growth.
