Sönmez Transformer Company ( STS ) is a fast-growing company in the energy sector. STS manufactures power transformers, special transformers for different applications, and reactors. STS was founded in 1976. Our production plant is located in Dilovasi, Kocaeli and we have an office in Istanbul Anatolian Side. Our current export rate is more than 95% worldwide; our main markets are Central Europe, North America, and Australia.We are searching for a Surface Coating Engineer for our young and dynamic team.Job Description: We are seeking a Surface Coating Engineer to join our production team in the power transformer manufacturing sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the surface coating (painting) processes in line with production plans, ensuring product quality, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.Key Responsibilities:Monitor and manage the paint shop workflow according to the production scheduleIdentify and resolve process-related issues in surface coating operationsApply problem-solving techniques to address quality-related problemsEnsure cleanliness and organization of the facility in accordance with safety and quality standardsOversee the correct use and maintenance of coating equipmentAdopt a proactive approach to detect and prevent coating defectsSupervise and coordinate blue-collar workers within key holders on Producion & Quality departmentDevelop and implement innovative solutions to improve coating processesEnsure consistent and sustainable production in compliance with transformer manufacturing standardsQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related fieldExperience in industrial painting processes, preferably in transformer or heavy equipment manufacturingAdvance level of English verbal and speaking,Strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on approachExperience in Production lines and capabilities of Factory lean process,Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement is a plus,Excellent leadership and communication skills and team player.
