Surgical SHO & Registrar - Locum & Contract

Opalus Healthcare is currently recruiting Surgical SHOs and Registrars for locum & standalone positions across hospitals in Ireland. These flexible roles offer a variety of contract durations - short/long-term.Key Responsibilities:Patient Care: Deliver comprehensive preoperative and postoperative care, including patient assessment, treatment planning, and ongoing monitoring of surgical patients.Ward Duties: Actively participate in daily surgical ward rounds, providing patient updates and ensuring continuity of care.Surgical Assistance: Assist Consultants and Registrars during surgical procedures, gaining hands-on experience in the operating theatre.Emergency Surgical Care: Manage and assist with emergency surgical admissions, including the evaluation and management of acute surgical cases.Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with Consultants, Registrars, Nurses, and Allied Health Professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.On-Call Duties: Participate in the on-call rota, providing cover for both emergency and elective surgical patients as required.Documentation: Maintain accurate, thorough, and timely records of all surgical procedures, patient care plans, and clinical progress.Requirements:Full General Registration with the Irish Medical Council (IMC).Experience working in Ireland previously.Excellent surgical, diagnostic, and communication skills.Ability to perform in fast-paced and high-pressure environments.Flexibility to work across multiple sites in Ireland.Eligibility to work in Ireland (Irish/EU/UK passport or Stamp 4).Benefits:Competitive rates.Flexible work schedules to suit your career and lifestyle goals.Diverse surgical exposure across a variety of specialties and hospital settings.Application Process: Submit your CV including details of your clinical experience, preferred locations, contract duration, and availability (full-time or part-time).
