SVP Commercialization – Grid-as-a-Service

A leading integrated energy and utilities company headquartered in Abu Dhabi is expanding into private grid networks under an Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) model. They’re seeking a Senior Energy Leader to drive this next phase of growth.Role Highlights: Lead the strategy and commercialization of private grid networksOversee building, financing, operating, and maintaining energy solutions for industrial and commercial clients Structure SPVs and investment vehicles to fund and operate infrastructure assetsSpearhead the shift toward distributed energy and smart infrastructure Ideal Background: • 10–15+ years in power, utilities, or energy infrastructure • Proven experience with distributed energy or private grid projects • Exposure to SPV or PPP-style structuring • Strong commercial and financial acumen (capacity or usage-based models)Likely Backgrounds:Leaders from top energy and utilities firms, infrastructure investors, or strategy consulting backgrounds with hands-on experience in energy transition, commercialization, and distributed infrastructure.
