To support our Central Services Team, we are looking for a: Finance Officer, Project Administration Support (80-100%)Starting date: 1 October 2025 or by agreementLocation: Basel, Switzerland. The Finance Officer is responsible for the administrative support, contractual compliance and documentation of international peacebuilding projects in close contact with the project managers.
This primarily involves adherence to project budgets and timely financial reporting.
Your tasksManage the project finances and payment transactions in line with the grant agreement regulations/requirements of the donor,Provide financial and administrative support internally and for implementing partners (remotely),Recording of expenses in the accounting system, conducting controlling tasks and ensuring periodical financial reporting to the donor,Prepare the financial and administrative documents of the project for the audit during or after project completion,Support the project team with the booking of travel arrangements (visa, travel, insurance, accommodation) and provide logistical support for workshops or meetings,Support preparation of proposal and project documents.
Your profileEducation in the field of business administration or commercial training,Experience in project and financial management as well as excellent Microsoft 365 skills,Good command (C1 or higher) of English and German (writing, speaking, and listening),Knowledge of accounting; experience with ERP software Microsoft Business Central is an asset,A team player with high levels of reliability and attention to detail who enjoys working in a self-organized environment and collaborating with various stakeholders,Cultural sensitivity and excellent communication skills, combined with a high level of flexibility and adaptability in dynamic project environments.
