Lighting Designer

Role PurposeWe are looking for an enthusiastic EMEA Lighting Designer who will be part of the Lighting Design team. This role is ideal for a semi-experienced professional seeking to gain further experience in an international environment, or for an already established Technical Engineer looking for new developmental opportunities in a professional but friendly atmosphere.

Key ResponsibilitiesProducing design calculations and light modelling using DIALux/DIALux EVO (or similar)Creating lighting plans using AutoCADWorking closely with the Sales Department on various design projectsHelping out other lighting designers and take design responsibility for projects completed (individual responsibility)Prepare visual illustrations to show the effect of the lighting scheme proposed.

Provide advice on lighting principles and use of our product portfolioPerson Specification and BackgroundElectrical, architectural, engineering (or related) degree is essentialLighting related technical knowledge is essentialAwareness of legislation and regulations affecting buildings and lighting is an advantageStrong skills in communication, practical problem solving coupled with a strong eye for detail and a willingness to make things happenCapable to work fast, precisely and meet deadlinesGood spoken and written English, as it is essential for daily communication with sales engineers.
