$155,000 - $170,000Military Veterans are highly encouraged to apply!Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesLead the financial operationsEnsure the integrity of financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and the development and maintenance of internal controlsOversee all accounting operations including billing, Accounts Receivable (A/R), Accounts Payable (A/P), General Ledger (GL), cost accounting, revenue recognition, and payrollPrepare and present timely, accurate monthly and annual financial statementsManage all aspects of monthly close and consolidationLead the transition from outsourced finance functions to a fully in-house teamServe as Unanet system Subject Matter Expert (SME) for accounting functionsOversee the integration and optimization of UnanetEnsure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Federal Accounting and Reporting (FAR), and government contract regulationsPartner with the Pricer, Finance Operations Lead, and Executive Vice President (EVP) of Human Capital to develop accurate pricing models and labor projectionsDevelop and enforce internal controls to maximize protection of company assets and ensure efficiencyCoordinate external audits and support the annual International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and 401K auditsManage and mentor accounting staff including Staff Accountant and Program Financial AnalystsRequired Skills and Experience10+ years of progressive experience in accounting/finance, with five (5) or more years in a leadership roleExperience in government contracting and a deep understanding of FAR, Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA), and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) complianceExpertise in Unanet or similar Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systemsProven expertise building or leading accounting teams, including in-house transition from outsourced providersHigh attention to detail, integrity, and confidentialityProfessional CertificationsCertified Public Accountant (CPA) certification strongly preferredYears of Professional Experiencen/aDesired experiencePrior experience as a Controller in a midsize or growing GovCon firmStrong communication and executive presentation skillsCommitment to continuous improvement and process optimizationFormal EducationBachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related fieldCitizenship RequirementU.
