Projects involves teams in France (Rungis/Toulouse), Portugal, UK, Romania and Australia.The System Engineer and Verification / Validation (SEVV) position is responsible for writing and managing product specifications and interface with the key stakeholders: SE Lead in France, the Feature Teams from the development, integration, verification and validation teams in Romania or in France. SEVV is responsible also to verify and validate the system.This position is based in Romania at THR with some international travels (30%).The first 2 to 3 months will require coming to Toulouse for the upskilling / training.No security clearance required for this position.The System Engineer and Verification / Validation (SEVV) is responsible for :contributing to maintaining product documentation (requirements, specification, interfaces documents, …)supporting the delivery team as needed with clarifications, prioritizations etc.delivering toward the agreed plan / baselinecontributing to the test strategy definition for system verification and validationexecution of the tests cases for verification and validation phasescontributing to the project meetings and interfacing with the key stakeholders when neededmaintaining SE schedule and managing the risks and opportunitiesensuring Thales processes (Chorus) are being followed on the projectmaintaining our quality standards in accordance with the Project management Plan and Engineering planbuilding and maintaining an onboarding kit for SE newcomers in Romania in collaboration with System Engineering Discipline Manager. Experience RequiredGeneral engineering Diploma1+ years’ experience in similar positions on projects delivering complex software-centric real-time systems3+ years’ experience as System Engineer on complex systemExperience in the ATM Domain and Air Traffic Management standards eg. ICAO, EurocontrolProven capability to manage various stakeholders having different objectivesProven capability to work in a multi-cultural environment and with variety of international customersExperience in managing backlog priorities and project planningKnowledge/ SkillsMaster System Engineering tools eg. DOORs, Jira, PolarionAptitude to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary integrated team environmentKnowledge of testing, verification and validation techniquesISTQB certification is a plusPositive attitude combined with excellent interpersonal and motivational skillsSound judgement and independent decision-making capability where necessaryExcellent written and oral communication skills in English.Your career at Thales:Future opportunities will allow you to discover other domains or sites.
