System Integrations Engineer

As a system integrations engineer, you’ll be architecting, implementing, testing and maintaining customised solutions to ensure interoperability between the OnTarget clinical decision support system, and different medical devices found in the Operating Room or the ICU departement.Who are you?🎓You have a bachelor or masters degree in engineering (computer science, electronical engineering) or information technology, or have comparable expertise to match the academic requirements.🤹🏼You are well versed in:A systems programming language (C/C++ or Rust)PythonApart from your academic or professional track record, you are, above all, a critical thinker. You are driven by a passion to push medical technology beyond the current boundaries, coupled with a desire to learn & to get the job done. Working at a Tech Startup requires a lot of flexibility and a broad skillset that combines technical expertise with soft skills. You are able to work independently on key aspects of the technology. When confronted with a problem, you approach the situation in a structured and organized way. You make initial investigations, check out potential solutions that arise, and reach out early to other members of the team if necessary.What would you be doing?As our designated expert in Service Oriented Device Connectivity (SDC) IoT communication technology, you will be responsible for development and maintenance of the integration modules SDC and our decision support systems.You architect and implement our connectivity modules for HL7 connections.Where will you be working?You’ll mainly be working from our main offices at Wintercircus, Ghent. This vibrant community is a unique place to work on cutting-edge technological innovations.A couple of times a month, you’ll be making visits to our remote clinical trial centres to check on the deployed stack, perform updates or address any issues that might require physical presence of a developer.You are an integral part of the development team, and will be working alongside our data scientists and web developers.
