Systems Engineer

Position OverviewThe Systems Engineer undertakes complex projects related to systems provisioning, installations, configurations as well as monitoring and maintenance. He/She applies highly developed specialist knowledge and skills in systems administration and works toward continuous optimisation of systems performance. He/She implements systems improvements and instructs other IT staff in the resolution of complex issues. He/She is required to be on standby with on-call availability with varied shifts including nights, weekends and holidays.He/She is able to quickly and effectively solve issues as they arise. He/She is able to methodically identify the cause of the issue, evaluate it and develop a solution incollaboration with the team. He communicates effectively and displays high level of service standards.Role & ResponsibilitiesExecute Systems Administration Service LevelsMonitor systems performance and usage, including response timesSupervise backups, optimisation, initiation of recovery procedures and routine troubleshootingCommunicate regularly with technical, applications and operational staff to ensure systems integrity and securityDetermine the systems’ short- and long-term requirementsManage systems report productionAdvise On System CapabilitiesAdvise senior leaders on system concepts and functional capabilitiesProvide technical advice to the team and clients on installation, setup, configuration of systemsInterpret internal or external business issues and recommends solutions/best practicesImplement plans to make systems available to users in a shared, secure and controlled mannerDevelop New SystemsLead the development of new systems as per the system requirementsDesign security and integrity controlsConduct new systems testing and implementationDefine the system maintenance proceduresAnalyse the use of new systems to identify enhancement needsLead research initiatives for the development of advanced and automated approaches for system administrationOptimise systems performanceSeek opportunities to optimise the delivery of systems services with emphasis on availability, reliability, scalability, and securityConduct regular system audits and upgradesDevelop automated processes to define, measure, and report on service quality, stability and capacityResolve issuesOversee the assessment of risks to systemsIdentify complex system issues to provide advisory to the stakeholdersInvestigate cause of systems issuesResolve complex issuesProvide escalation support for issues presented by the userRequirementsQualifications and experience: Senior System EngineerAt least 5 - 6 years’ experience in developing, implementing and maintaining IT systemsSystematic in approach and familiar with enterprise level trouble shooting.Strong communications skills with stakeholders and ROs.Experience in healthcare applications preferred and/or willing to take up the challenges in a healthcare related industry.Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalenApply NowNOTE: It only takes a few minutes to apply for a meaningful career in HealthTech - GO FOR IT!!
