POSITION SUMMARYThe Account Manager serves as a key relationship manager for our client, developing a deep understanding of their business, priorities, and strategies. This role oversees a portfolio of creative and marketing projects from briefing through delivery, ensuring alignment with client expectations, timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesManage full project lifecycle for localization initiatives targeted at Korea markets, from brief to final delivery, ensuring cultural and linguistic accuracy. Support the APAC Language Team and Account Servicing teams to deliver highest quality language services (ie copywriting, translation, proofreading, etc.
) to the clientPlan and do the time management, monitor language projects to meet deadline, quality and budget requirements, and be ultimately responsible for the deliveryManage and build a trusting relationship with external in-market copywriters, translators and proofreaders to meet the client’s language needsAct as primary client liaison for Korea projects, establishing trust, communicating timelines, and delivering regular updates on project statuses and financials. Develop workflows that account for multiple time zones and asynchronous collaboration, ensuring minimal delays. Identify local compliance/regulatory requirements for content, ensuring adherence to country or region-specific guidelines.
Collaborate with regional teams (Account Management, Creative, Production) to align project objectives, timelines, and deliverables. Monitor project performance metrics specific to Korea, creating quarterly business reviews (QBRs) for both internal and client stakeholders. Escalate technical or resource-based issues to APAC region and propose solutions to avoid repeat occurrences. RequirementsAt least 3 years of experience in localization and creative project management, with a strong emphasis on Korea marketBachelor’s degree in Localization, Linguistics, Marketing, Business, International Relations, or a related field - or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong project management background in productionFluency inboth spoken and written English is a mustStrong vendor management and negotiation skillsHands-on experience with major localization tools, including TMS/CMS/CAT platforms (e. g. , Wordbee, memoQ, Trados, Smartling), job-tracking systems, and remote collaboration tools. Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple projects across different time zones. Advanced problem-solving and strategic thinking skills, with a proactive mindset for identifying and resolving bottlenecks in distributed teams. Financial proficiency, including quoting, budgeting, invoice/P&L management, and developing region-specific rate cards.
Self-starter with the ability to work independently and drive initiatives with minimal supervision.
