NPosition Type Non-ManagementPosition SummaryAs a key member of the Talent Acquisition team, the Talent Acquisition Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the recruitment process for hourly and non-management roles. This position collaborates closely with hiring managers, HR professionals, and candidates to ensure a seamless and efficient recruitment experience.The Coordinator is responsible for managing the flow of candidates through the recruitment lifecycle—from job posting and application review to interview coordination, pre-hire checks, and finalising hires in the system. This role is central to delivering a positive candidate experience through clear communication, timely follow-ups, and process excellence.The ideal candidate is highly organised, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. They bring a passion for service and continuous improvement, ensuring recruitment operations run smoothly and effectively.ScopeLocation: Cape Town, South AfricaLanguage Requirements: Fluent in English (spoken and written)This role is to be required in the office 5 days a weekKey ResponsibilitiesRecruitment CoordinationPost, track, and monitor job vacancies using the company’s recruitment systemReview applications and assessment scores to identify qualified candidatesConduct initial phone screens and curate shortlists for interviewsSchedule and coordinate interviews with hiring managers and stakeholdersTrack candidate progress and update statuses in the ATSManage applicant communication and ensure timely updatesCoordinate reference and background checksFinalise hires in the recruitment systemCandidate Experience & Process ExcellenceEnsure a positive candidate experience through clear communication and follow-upsAddress inquiries and troubleshoot issues with urgency and professionalismPrepare documentation and correspondence as neededGather feedback for continuous improvement of recruitment processesMaintain confidentiality and comply with company policiesTeam Support & CollaborationProvide QA and support for job postingsAttend relevant meetings and contribute to recruitment objectivesPerform additional duties as assigned to support team performanceCandidate ProfileEducation & ExperienceHigh School Diploma or equivalent requiredTertiary education (University/College degree or diploma) preferred2+ years of experience in recruitment coordination preferredExperience in hotel HR administration is advantageousSkills & CompetenciesProficient in Microsoft Office and recruitment software (ATS)Excellent verbal and written communication skillsHighly detail-oriented and organisedAbility to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environmentStrong collaboration and problem-solving skillsProfessional, service-oriented approachWhy Join Marriott International?At Marriott, we believe in putting people first.
