Talent & HR Manager - Jakarta or Malaysia. About the RoleWe are looking for a hands-on Talent & HR Manager to join our growing Southeast Asia team. This role will be pivotal in driving recruitment and HR operations across Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia, ensuring that our people processes are efficient, structured, and aligned with Artefact’s regional growth.You will partner closely with senior leadership, hiring managers, and the global People team to manage the full employee lifecycle from recruitment and onboarding to HR operations and employee engagement. The ideal candidate has prior experience within a professional services or consulting environment.Key Responsibilities:Manage the end-to-end recruitment process for key roles across Malaysia and Jakarta, including sourcing, screening, coordinating interviews, and managing offers.Partner with leadership to understand hiring priorities, define role requirements, and design effective recruitment strategies to attract top-tier talent (especially Data Consultants, Data Engineers, and Data Scientists).Build and maintain structured salary grids and compensation frameworks aligned with market benchmarks.Lead on headcount planning, team structures, and organisational design discussions, ensuring alignment with business needs and budget.Develop and maintain a strong talent pipeline, building long-term relationships with potential candidates and external partners (universities, agencies, and networks).Ensure an excellent candidate experience throughout the hiring journey from first contact to onboarding.HR Operations & Employee Lifecycle:Own key HR processes such as onboarding, probation management, contract administration, and offboarding.Support on local compliance and employment law requirements, in coordination with regional HR and legal teams.Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, ensuring data integrity across systems and documentation.Partner with payroll and finance teams to ensure timely and accurate processing of HR inputs (salaries, bonuses, benefits, etc.).Coordinate with regional HR to roll out performance review cycles, training programs, and employee engagement initiatives.People Partnering & Culture:Act as a trusted partner to managers and employees, offering day-to-day HR guidance on people topics.Contribute to a positive and inclusive workplace culture, aligned with Artefact’s global values.Support in organising team-building, wellness, and engagement activities to foster collaboration and belonging.Profile & Requirements:3–6 years of experience in Talent Acquisition or HR within a professional services, consulting, or tech/data-driven environment.Strong knowledge of the Malaysian or Jakarta talent market, including compensation benchmarks and role profiles.Demonstrated experience in managing recruitment pipelines end-to-end and working directly with business stakeholders.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to engage confidently with candidates, leadership, and cross-functional teams.Proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities simultaneously.Sound understanding of local labour laws and HR compliance requirements.Proficiency in using ATS systems (e.g., Greenhouse) and HR tools.Fluent in English; proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia or Bahasa Indonesia is a plus.
