Talladega College is seeking qualified, experienced, student-centered, and collegial Assistant Professors to teach in the Fine Arts Department. The department is in the Division of Humanities and Fine Arts. This is a tenure-track, nine-month position that reports to the Department Chair and is slated to begin Fall 2024.
ResponsibilitiesTeach Fine Arts and studio courses in primarily traditional and blended formatsAcademically advise students, including transfer creditsRecruit and retain studentsRecommend a schedule of classes to be offered in the department each semesterAdminister college policies and proceduresDevelop and assess program and student learning outcomesActively serve on college committeesReview and revise department catalog informationProject a professional, positive, and upbeat dispositionMeet established deadlinesUtilize and remain current with the college’s and instructional technologiesPerform other duties as assignedQualificationsA master’s degree in Fine Arts from an accredited institutionEvidence of successful college teaching experience is requiredExcellent verbal and written communication skills with exceptional attention to detailPreferredAt least eighteen (18) graduate semester hours in ceramics, sculpture, or traditional media 3D artApplication ProcessApplications must include:
