ABOUT THIS ROLEWe are looking for a creative and highly organised individual to fill the role of either JuniorPublicist (with at least three years’ experience within Arts, Entertainment, or Fashion PR) orPublicist (with at least five years’ experience within Arts, Entertainment, or Fashion PR) who hasestablished firm media and industry contacts and has a great knowledge and passion for the arts. The Junior Publicist / Publicist will join our small, highly successful team of personal publicists,working across multiple clients at different stages of global press campaigns.
The role/s requires anactive engagement and understanding of global media, current trends, and the ever-changingmedia landscape, as they will be responsible for generating press opportunities, buildingcampaigns, organising interviews and photo-shoots whist building their own industry and mediacontacts. The successful applicant will be a fast learner with a strong ability to meet deadlines with a sense ofurgency. They will be required to work across different clients and projects simultaneously,multi-task and prioritise in a fast-paced role, extracting important details from correspondence andcommunication and responding to emails in a professional manner.
As such, a high level oforganisation and attention to detail is essential. We’re looking for a highly proficient writer, a diplomat by nature, a clear communicator andsomeone who is comfortable shifting priorities and meeting tight deadlines. We specifically desireindividuals who are strong team players and collaborators, problem solvers who can workindependently, and those who exhibit confident interpersonal communication skills. The ability to betactful and sensitive is a necessity as the successful applicant will be required to establish andmaintain excellent working relationships with clients, agents, and industry professionals they will beworking alongside.
We are interested in people who think aesthetically and are highly skilled in Microsoft PowerPoint tocreate external presentations and press kits for clients. A high level of all other Microsoft Officepackages is also necessary. They must also demonstrate the ability to research in a timely mannerand present good quality writing; creating and updating biographies for actors, directors, andcopywriting where required. The applicant will be involved in the Tapestry social media account, designing Instagram posts andstories with a creative flair, keeping it up to date, ensuring it’s on brand and dynamic, whilst growingTapestry’s presence and audience.
The successful applicant will have an opportunity to work at key events in the entertainmentcalendar, including award ceremonies and red-carpet premieres, covering photo shoots and presslaunches with the potential to travel internationally. Hours: 09: 30 - 6pm Monday to Friday within a central London office. Occasional evening andweekend work is required, and you may be asked to work additional hours. A TOIL system is inplace to balance unusual hours with occasional working from home flexibility.
As this role may involve occasional travel, candidates should hold a valid passport and inform us ofany legal restrictions that would prevent international or national business travel. Disclosures will beconsidered in line with relevant legislation. KEY TASKS: Targeted pitching to generate media opportunities for clients reporting into Partners andteams. Set up photo-shoots and interviews, coordinate and manage incoming requests, attendpress events for in-person support, potential travel and evening work. Manage client press schedules and manage travel requirements (Microsoft Word).
Designing and updating client press kits in-line with the Tapestry house aesthetic(PowerPoint) Writing and updating biographies - pro-actively keeping client information up to date Manage, design and curate the company social media account; strategize on weekly contentand the cultural ‘evergreen’ moments throughout the year. General administrative duties to keep company documents up to date and manage thedepartment assistant to ensure tasks are being met Manage press coverage reports for clients and teams, monitor press, keep teams internallyand externally updated. Research upcoming projects and new faces within the industry, read and report back onindustry trade stories.
Building media contacts and manage industry database Liaise and book hair/makeup and stylists for clients and keeping contacts up to date General admin for clients, i. e. , booking car/travel for clientsContract: Full-time/permanent, subject to 6 months’ probation period.
