We’d love for you to join our team!Job SummaryB&A is looking for a Task Order Project Manager to join a contract with a federal government client in support of an important mission. In this role, you will serve as the project manager for a large, complex task order (or a group of task orders affecting the same system) and shall assist the Program Manager in working with the Government Contracting Officer (KO), the task order-level Task Order Managers, Government management personnel and customer agency representatives. Under the guidance of the Program Manager, the Task Order Project Manager (TOPM) is responsible for the overall management of the specific task order(s) and ensuring that the technical solutions and schedules in the task order are implemented in a timely manner.ResponsibilitiesManage the day-to-day operations of one or more complex federal task orders, ensuring all technical, schedule, and cost objectives are met.Serve as the primary point of contact with the Government Task Order Manager (TOM), Contracting Officer (KO), and other key stakeholders.Support the Program Manager in planning, coordinating, and executing project activities across multiple functional teams.Oversee project scope, deliverables, and timelines to ensure on-time, high-quality performance.Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and risk management documentation.Monitor project performance and provide regular status reports, briefings, and updates to government leadership.Ensure compliance with all contractual, security, and quality requirements.Manage and coordinate technical staff, subcontractors, and resources to achieve project goals efficiently.Identify and mitigate project risks and issues, escalating when necessary to the Program Manager or KO.Drive continuous improvement in project execution, communication, and stakeholder satisfaction.Facilitate effective communication between technical, management, and client teams to ensure alignment and transparency.Education And Experience BS or BA or four (4) additional years of related experience. Required SkillsMust have Project Management certification (i.e. Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification, other recognized certification, etc.). Five (5) years relevant experience and 5 years of leadership experience with progressively higher responsibility in a DoD environment.Desired SkillsExperience managing federal government task orders or large-scale IT projects.Strong understanding of DoD acquisition processes, contract management, and task order execution.Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple concurrent priorities.Excellent stakeholder communication and client relationship management skills.Strong risk management, budgeting, and scheduling expertise.Familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM) and project performance tracking metrics.Experience with Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies.Proficiency in MS Project, Jira, or other project management tools.Demonstrated ability to develop reports, briefings, and presentations for executive or government leadership.Knowledge of federal IT security, compliance, and quality standards.Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills under tight deadlines.Ability to mentor and motivate technical teams in a complex, matrixed environment.Prior experience working with or supporting DoD or federal IT systems preferred.Active Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain one preferred.Security ClearanceActive Secret ClearanceMore About B&ANotable ClientsB&A has grown to be a company that is trusted by our clients for exceptional service, innovative solutions, and inspired employees.
