Tax Compliance Team

Hotchkiss Associates are looking for an individual to join our growing Tax Compliance team, with the role itself being flexible depending on the level of experience that the right candidate brings. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone with solid tax experience who’s ready to step up, support junior colleagues, and contribute to the smooth running of the department. ResponsibilitiesAs part of a collaborative and supportive team, you’ll prepare Isle of Man and UK tax returns for individuals, trusts and companies, and review returns prepared by junior staff.

There’s also the opportunity to get involved in accounting and bookkeeping for client entities and develop wider technical skills and occasionally assisting with private client services, such as company secretarial and executorship matters. You’ll be reporting to the Tax Compliance Manager or Associate Director, depending on the role. Qualifications and ExperienceWe’re open to a range of backgrounds, but the ideal candidate will have: Experience preparing IOM and/or UK tax returns (corporate, personal or trust). Some exposure to bookkeeping or accounting is desirable.

Confidence working independently and reviewing junior work (or be keen to grow these skills). A proactive, problem-solving attitude and strong attention to detail. A desire to develop professionally – support is available for those studying ACCA, ACA, ATT, CTA or similar qualifications.
