Job Description

We are seeking experienced and motivated tax professionals to join our Compliance and Engagement Group (CEG). As a Tax Officer (EL 1), you will provide professional leadership and undertake a range of complex compliance and engagement activities. Our taxpayers are diverse and may include individuals, small businesses, public and private companies, and international entities. These roles may be offered across various business areas within CEG. Depending on the area, you may lead a team or focus on casework. In all roles, you will apply your knowledge of tax and superannuation to deliver outcomes. You will use your strong leadership and communication skills to provide high-level strategic advice to senior leadership, and collaborate on complex and sensitive tax and superannuation matters to influence outcomes. You’ll engage with taxpayers, advisors, and other intermediaries to gather information, explain requirements, and outline your recommended approach to compliance activities. In all interactions, you’ll act with integrity, professionalism, and respect. You will be responsible for planning, leading, and coordinating the work of team members within CEG, and contribute to the development of both your own technical capability and that of your team. These roles may be offered on an ongoing or non-ongoing basis in Adelaide, Albury, Box Hill (VIC), Brisbane CBD, Canberra, Dandenong, Geelong, Gosford, Hobart, Melbourne CBD, Moonee Ponds, Newcastle, Parramatta, Penrith, Perth, Sydney CBD, Townsville, Upper Mount Gravatt or Wollongong.
