Job Descripꢀon OverviewPIH Lesotho is launching a TB eliminaꢀon project in Mohale's Hoek district at all health faciliꢀes andcommuniꢀes, and to support the Ministry of Health in addressing the high burden of TB in Lesotho.
The TBEliminaꢀon project manager is expected to manage the TB eliminaꢀon projects in Mohale's Hoek and therural PIH Lesotho-supported health faciliꢀes. The Project Manager is responsible for leading strategic planning, coordinaꢀon, and implementaꢀon ofthe TB Eliminaꢀon Project in alignment with the overall PIH Lesotho vision. They will oversee operaꢀonalexecuꢀon, ensure compliance with the project requirements, and establish robust systems and processesto maintain quality and accountability. The successful candidate will play a central role in building aneffecꢀve and collaboraꢀve project team.
The TB Eliminaꢀon project manager will be based at Mohale’sHoek with a frequent travel to Maseru. The TB Eliminaꢀon Project will run unꢀl December 2029. Responsibiliꢀes Incl UdeLeadership and Team DevelopmentManage the overall conduct of the project, including general coordinaꢀon, management, andsupervision of day-to-day project implementaꢀonSupport supervision of project staff. Foster a posiꢀve, accountable, and high-performing team culture.
Facilitate interdepartmental collaboraꢀon to achieve shared goalsExecuꢀon and Resource ManagementManage and oversee all procurements and commodity requirements for the projectWork in collaboraꢀon with the Transport Officer for the monitoring and maintenance of mobileclinics and supporꢀng vehiclesPlan and organise logisꢀcs for trips across all project sites under the TB EliminaꢀonIdenꢀfy and mobilize addiꢀonal resources, including human, technical, and material resourcesrequired to meet project objecꢀves.
Communicaꢀon and Stakeholder ManagementProvide oversight for the management of the mobile trucks in collaboraꢀon with the TransportUnitDocument and disseminate project meeꢀng notes with all relevant stakeholders, and follow-upto ensure that acꢀon items are executed ꢀmelyProvide oversight for all Naꢀonal and District stakeholder engagementRisk, Compliance and Quality ManagementIdenꢀfy potenꢀal risks and develop miꢀgaꢀon plans to ensure uninterrupted implementaꢀon ofTB services.
Ensure compliance with PIH policies in the operaꢀons of the projectOversee the overall quality management aspect of the Project and ensure that all relevant toolsand standards are adhered to for the tenure of the projectWork with the Internal Audit and Compliance team to support project auditsWork with the compliance team and finance team the implementaꢀon of the projectdeliverables within ꢀme, budget and scopeDevelop and manage the project budget, ensuring alignment with approved acꢀviꢀes andproject guidelines during implementaꢀon.
Laise with the Grants team in tracking of project expenditures and ensuring compliance withfinancial policies and procedures. Lead the narraꢀve and financial report according to the project reporꢀng ꢀmelines. Monitoring and ReporꢀngAꢁend Project review meeꢀngs and provide regular updates on project progress, performance,financial management and other issuesConduct regular meeꢀngs with the project team and provide ꢀmely support to the frontlinehealth workersAssist PIH leadership to ensure that all deliverable requirements are met and ꢀmelines followed.
Coordinate with PIH Lesotho and PIH Boston Finance and compliance teams to ensure thatrecord keeping is accurate and financial reports are correct, complete and ꢀmely submiꢁed andensure compliance of the award terms and condiꢀons. Aꢁend all project related meeꢀngs and proved all current update on the project status.
Oversee implementaꢀon of the project acꢀviꢀes and monitor progress against the approvedwork planDocument success stories, challenges, and lessons learned, in collaboraꢀon with the StrategicInformaꢀon, Clinical and Communicaꢀon departmentsDevelop monthly, quarterly and annual project reports to the PIH Lesotho leadership andcoordinaꢀon sites.
Qualificaꢀons and ExperienceMaster of public health (MPH) Or other health related fieldsAbility to work independently and effecꢀvely in high-impact, fast-paced environments andhandle mulꢀple requests simultaneouslyHigh levels of proficiency in Microsoꢂ Word, Excel, and PowerPointAt least 5 years managing projects valued cumulaꢀvely at $5 millionExperience implemenꢀng health related projects at naꢀonal and district-levels with internaꢀonalnon-governmental organizaꢀons in Lesotho is advantageousSkills and CompetenciesPersonal Qualiꢀes:
